We sit down before scissors come anywhere near your hair. I want to know what you've tried, what you've struggled with, and what you actually want your curls to look like at home, not just in the chair.
This is the conversation most stylists skip. I never do.
15 minutes
I see your curls the way the world sees them, dry and falling naturally. I trace your curl pattern, density, porosity, and how each section behaves. I take notes you'll never see, mental and physical.
If your hair has been cut wet your whole life, this is the moment everything changes.
10 minutes
Curl by curl. Dry. I shape each curl individually so when one is removed the pattern below holds. I factor in shrinkage, your density, and how your curls fall when you actually wear them.
No triangle shape. No surprise length. No "it looked different in the salon."
45 to 60 minutes
I cleanse, apply products in the order your specific curls need, and style. While I do it, I explain every choice. You can record everything on your phone, that becomes your at-home tutorial.
You leave able to do this yourself. That's the point.
20 to 30 minutes
A written product prescription for your curl type. Booking timeline for your next visit. My direct line if you have questions in the next 72 hours, because reality is the morning after the cut.

Yes. Transitioning hair is one of my favorite stages to work with. We focus on shaping what's growing in and preserving the rest until you're ready to cut more. We do this without shaming whatever choice you make.
Most of my clients haven't. That's the whole point. The first Experience usually takes longer because we have a lot to undo, and a lot to learn about your specific curls. Plan for the full two hours.
For curl maintenance, every 10 to 12 weeks. Inner Circle members (members.html) get scheduled around their natural cycle and save on every visit. If you color, we coordinate so cuts and color work together.
Yes, please do. I encourage it. The styling portion is the most valuable part of the Experience and the part you'll want to reference at home. Some clients film the whole thing.
